Van Duijn to Dune
My family name is van Duijn, translated into "from Dune". I also live only 500 meters from the dunes and this is my local patch. When the conditions are good I'm to the dunes. Searching for Roe Deers or Foxes, waiting in a hide for birds or suffering hailstorms while waiting for the sun to illuminate the dark sky. If it's possible Van Duijn goes to Dune.

Eye for detail
My favourite subjects are birds to photograph. But in summer I like to use the macro lens. When it has been a cold night with no wind in summer insects are easy to photograph.  They sit still and the light is at it's best. In summer birds are busy feeding the young and this is visible on their plumage. But the flowers and plants are at their best. And don't fly away. With the macro lens you can get almost into the flower. It's essential to look closely and then you see nice details. Even in simple thinks like a bark of a tree. Like it's said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Force of Neptune
The sea gives and the sea takes. This rule has been respected by fisherman all over the world. The sea can give you his richness with fish but it also takes the life of fisherman. I live in a village which in the history has been depended of the sea. my grandfather has been a fisherman. This background has created a special bond with the sea. While most people go the beach in summer I only go there when they don't. In autumn I check the forecasts if they predict any storms. The harsher the better. These conditions truly show the force of  god of the sea, Neptune.

Poldermodels

Holland in famous for it's flatness. The majority of the country lies beneath the sea-level. In spring thousands of tourists visit the bulb fields. But they don't see the true beauty. In the high grass breeds the Black-tailed Godwit. Meanwhile the eggs of the Great-crested Grebe hatches in the nearby canal while a Lapwing chases a Crow. But she doesn't know her eggs are attacked by a small land predator.

Wild Poland
From the mountains in the southeast till the Baltic sea in the north. Poland is a diverse land with many wild places. The most wonderful can be found along the borders. The most famous is the Bialowieza Forst in the east with the largest mammals of Europe like the European Bison, Wolf and Lynx. In the south breeds the dangerous Ural Owl and in the Oderdelta flies the majestic White-tailed Eagle. And what about the Biebzra marshes with it's thousands breeding terns in summer and numerous insects.

Colourfull South
I have been to Portugal, Spain and France on several holidays. What strikes me the most are the splendid colours of the landscapes and the wildlife. It takes an artist to create the beauty of a Bee-eater. The elegance of the Greater Flamingo. And what about the crown of a Hoopoe
